Principal Responsibilities: The Kosher Food Program Administrator Is the primary member of the Food Program team that orders food for weekly and holiday distributions through on-line and phone orders from Food Bank and additional multiple sources; Under the supervision of and with the approval of the Director, the Kosher Food Program Administrator obtains prices and bids from all potential Food Program vendors and oversees the purchase and procurement process in accordance with agency policies and procedures; Verifies kosher supervision for all food products donated, purchased or procured; Liaises with Met Council’s Fiscal Department for approval of purchases; Submits accurate purchase orders to vendors; Receives, records, routes and follows up on Food Program Invoices for payment through Met Council; Maintains Food Program fiscal data; In collaboration with all members of the Food Program team determines allocations of food to each pantry and documents allocation methodology within the Unicentric digital system; Oversees Warehouse Inventory digital system including inputting data, allocations, distribution data and provides various reports for the program, the agency and to the network agencies; Ensures the timely completion of Order Forms to be given to the Warehouse Manager upon which the food distribution is organized; Schedules pick-ups and deliveries of food with suppliers, distribution sites and other parties; Speaks with, emails and corresponds with network agencies regarding all food order and distribution matters; In collaboration with MC’s Volunteer Department, facilitates individual volunteer and group scheduling.
